I am currently Working on a minecraft server for the "offline version" of minecraft.  Here's a list of how to get the "Offline version" Of minecraft.

Now of course i'm sure that there are many different clients i will probably update this blog post if i come across some more launchers that i use and like.

Here's my opinions on the launchers listed above:

KeineIs a Great launcher it's very basic works on "offline server's" only complaint about it is that i wish it would give actual update notes like the real minecraft launcher. Instead of having to click on a link to direct you to a webpage to look at the publishers updates for Keinet launcher. But then again i am very picky on programs and the design of it. So as far as functionality i give this a 10 out of 10 but as far as design i give it an 8 out of 10 just because of the pure fact that i want it to stream the updates but other than that its a great launcher and i would recommend it to anybody!

Mineshafter is another great launcher the downside is you do have to make an account on there website to use there launcher but other than that there launcher is pretty simplistic and easy to navigate. A great feature is that on this launcher you can change your skin and get a cape. However for other people to see your cape and skin the server must be running the minshafter server launcher which is a downside considering i haven't seen that many people using mineshafter to run there server.

Overall thoughts Both are great FREE launchers to play minecraft although in my opinion i like the simplicity of the Keinet launcher where you download the program enter a username into the box and your set. As far as i know for both launcher's mod's are easy to install you install them the same way you install it on the original minecraft launcher and i also like how you can place the minecraft directory anywhere, it doesn't have to be placed in your appdata folder so that's also a nice feature set to have.

***UPDATE NOTE*** - PLEASE NOTE THAT KEINET IS AN .EXE EXTENTION SO THERE FOR YOU CAN ONLY RUN KEINET ON A PC BUT MINESHAFTER IS A .JAR SO YOU CAN RUN MINESHAFTER ON PC/MAC/LINUX.
